About Us

Jennifer is a former teacher with a BA in Spanish Education and a MS in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. She stepped away from the classroom to begin homeschooling her own children in 2015. In 2017, after receiving a dyslexia diagnosis for her son, Jennifer began researching how she could help him which led her to the Orton Gillingham method of teaching spelling and reading. After experiencing great results with this method, Jennifer knew she wanted to help other families who needed an OG tutor. She started tutoring students of all ages using in 2018. Early on she learned that mastering sight words would be a challenge for her students. While seeking answers to the sight word mastery problem, Jennifer came across See to Spell sight word flashcards and knew that they were the answer to improving retention of difficult sight words. These cards were beautifully crafted and worked perfectly with students who needed a multi-sensory approach. However, the See to Spell cards covered only a portion of the words that Jennifer was teaching to her students.  Knowing that many people would benefit from the production of subsequent cards, she decided to embark on the process of producing more commonly used sight words using the same tried and true format.
